The Museum flows seamlessly into the church, where the
Deposition of Christ by Simone Peterzano – who taught Caravaggio – and the
Vision of Saint Ignatius at La Storta by Cerano are found.
Relics from the 18th and 19th centuries are kept in the small room below the main altar, while artefacts used in the liturgies (crucifixes, chalices, cartaglorias and more relics) are kept in a room next to the crypt. Here, an almost unique collection of relics from all the saints of the calendar – one for each day – is also on display, testimonial of the reverence felt towards them: exceptional people who managed to put the Gospel into practice during their lives.
