Relics of 365-day calendar. Liturgical objects (17th-19th century). Statues of St. Fidelis by Lucio Fontana and Mimmo Paladino
The little shrines, organized in daily order from the 1st of January to the 31st of December, contain the relics of all the saints of the Catholic calendar canonized until the beginning of the 19th century. They are the sign of the status enjoyed for centuries by the church of San Fedele, named after a martyr from the 3rd century, whose relics are housed in the church. The shrines, that hold the names of the correspondent saint next to each relic, used to be exposed daily for worship.
